CÉAD MÍLE FÁILTE! A Hundred Thousand Welcomes!

Brand new! Kincardine’s Wee Shop for All Things Scottish greeted its first customers on April 6, 2017. Owned by Douglas Dechene and managed by Darene Yavorsky, the Wee Shop is located at 730 Queen Street, directly across from Kincardine’s library, and just steps away from Victoria Park, scene of the famous Scottish Festival, Monday Market-in-the-Park, and so many other festive events.

The Wee Shop is filled with many wonderful new items, especially unique jewellery from the U.K. Just as one example, we offer Scottish Sea Glass jewellery, handmade exclusively for us from “mermaid’s tears” gathered from the waters of the iconic Firth of Forth near Kincardine, Scotland. We also carry HeatherGems, Celtic Fair sterling silver jewellery, and St. Justin pewter jewellery and specialty gifts ~ love spoons, money clips, barware ~ of Celtic design.

Here you will also find housewares and apparel of pure Scottish lambswool; hand-made tartan garments for children; contemporary caps, kilts and t-shirts for men; Burns Crystal whisky ware (new Kincardine sailboat design!); specialized Highland regalia; and all sorts of treasures, from quirky to clan-related. Come and explore!

Of course, no Scottish shop would be complete without haggis; The Wee Shop offers this delicacy in three forms: sliced, ceremonial, or by the large tray. Our freezer is freshly filled with black pudding, sliced sausage, sausage rolls, Bridies, Cornish pasties, potato scones, Scotch pies, steak pies (4 kinds:  steak & kidney / & mushroom / & onion / & gravy), curried chicken pies in the savoury line; and Eccles Cakes, Fern Tarts and Empire Biscuits in the sweet. Our grocery shelves are fully stocked with a wide range of biscuits, confectionery, marmalades, tea, condiments, crisps galore ~ not to mention our most popular seller: none other than the famous Irn-Bru, known as Scotland’s other national drink 😉

Be sure to visit us, as well, if you desire a custom-made kilt or kilted skirt in your family tartan, woven from 100% Scottish wool, expertly fitted and finely made. We pride ourselves on offering attentive customer service and rely on professional suppliers with a commitment to quality equal to our own.

All this is but an introduction: please come and visit!
