Unique Jewellery from the U.K.

Of the Wee Shop’s many specialties, unique jewellery must be at the top of the list ~ our selection of British designer jewellery is unsurpassed.

Exclusive to the Wee Shop, Scottish Sea Glass jewellery is specially hand-crafted for our shop ~ available nowhere else in North America! From the seaside near Kincardine, Scotland to the shoreline of Kincardine, Ontario, these pendants, bracelets and earrings set in sterling silver were once sea glass tumbling in the waves of Scotland’s iconic Firth of Forth. Artisan Gaynor Hebden-Smith hand-shapes the aquamarine, cornflower blue, white, light lime and lilac sea glass and creates beautiful, unique jewellery of a natural material with an unmistakeable beach vibe.

HeatherGems is another line of jewellery of outstanding beauty ~ uniquely natural, crafted from that most symbolic national emblem: heather stems from the Highlands. They are gathered, bundled, dyed and compressed into a block, then shaped and lacquered; the resulting polished material is a striated blend of rich, deep greens, blues, purples, reds and wine tones, set in sterling silver, silver plate or pewter ~ no two are alike. Produced by the family-owned manufacturer in Pitlochry, Scotland, this exquisite array is based on Art Nouveau designs by Charles Rennie MacIntosh, expressing nature and tradition in distinctively contemporary style.

All earrings, rings and pendants from Celtic Fair are sterling silver; the chains are of finest quality Italian sterling silver and the designs of all pieces evoke centuries of traditional shapes with symbolic meaning. Choose from thistles, shamrocks, Celtic knots and crosses, the claddagh and Tree of Life as well as Art Nouveau pieces inspired by the designs of Scottish architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

St. Justin pewter jewellery and giftware is a shining (!) example of metalwork that dates back centuries to the Celts and ancient Britons in the tin-mining region of Cornwall, U.K. Archaic British history and an elemental connection with the earth reverberate in these depictions of beloved Celtic images made tangible in high-quality pewter: Celtic knots, crosses and the venerable tree of life. In addition to striking adornments such as brooches, hair slides and neckwear, St. Justin also produce Celtic-themed love spoons, money clips, tie slides and key fobs.
